Networking is at the heart of the digital transformation. Although often unseen, it enables us to stay connected as we move around freely using our laptop or smartphone. This program teaches the basic networking concepts and skills that you can put to use right away. Its underlying principles can help you set up a small office/home network or even put you on the path to managing a larger-scale business network. This course is often taken for those on the path to becoming a network technician, cable installer, or help desk technician.
Cisco Networking Academy courses are designed to prepare you for Cisco certification and other industry-recognized certification exams. Cisco certifications are highly valued by employers globally, as they demonstrate your skills that are relevant to many industries, including medical, legal, food/beverage, and more. This certification makes you more employable and desirable because you have demonstrated the willingness to learn and excel at technology.

Students in the IT program can fulfill their Competency graduation requirement by completing their Career Capstone. To complete the Career Capstone, students must complete a minimum of four semesters (or three courses and a Career Launch Internship) within a Career Pathway with a C or better and earn an industry certification.
