Dear Montbello Career and Technical High School Community,
We are excited to announce that Arnetta Koger has been selected as the long-term principal of Montbello Career and Technical High School for the 2022-2023 school year. We are confident Ms. Koger will continue to build upon the many strengths of MCT, and that she will expand MCT’s strong foundation of success for students.
As Interim Principal, Ms. Koger was endorsed by the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) as the next leader of MCT. “We believe that having Arnetta Koger as our permanent principal will provide our students, staff, and community consistency as well as continue to work toward our current mission and vision. It is our belief that Ms. Koger will continue to excel in this position.”
Ms. Koger has over 21 years of education experience with 10 years of experience in Denver Public Schools and in the Far Northeast Region. She began her education career as an elementary teacher. She eventually taught middle school language arts, social studies and civics and led as Dean of Instruction at MCT from 2018 through last school year. Ms. Kroger began her administrative career as a Dean of Academics at the high school level and a Ritchie Intern. As a school leader, Ms. Koger understands the importance of providing students with equitable access to rigorous, personalized, and joyful learning opportunities and the need to ensure educators meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
Ms. Koger graduated from Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Corrections and Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Education and earned the necessary principal licensure credentials from the University of Denver.
A huge thank you and our sincerest gratitude to the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) for their hard work and for being an integral part of this process. The CSC served the school community very well and their unwavering commitment to the ongoing success of MCT is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your engagement!

Estimada comunidad de la Escuela Preparatoria Profesional y Técnica Montbello:
Nos complace anunciarles que Arnetta Koger ha sido seleccionada como directora a largo plazo de la Escuela Preparatoria Profesional y Técnica Montbello para el año escolar 2022-2023. Estamos seguros de que la Srta. Koger seguirá desarrollando las muchas fortalezas de MCT y ampliará la sólida base del éxito de los estudiantes de MCT.
Como directora interina, la Srta. Koger recibió el respaldo del Comité Escolar de Colaboración (CSC, por su sigla en inglés) como la próxima líder de MCT. “Creemos que contar con Arnetta Koger como nuestra directora permanente proveerá a los estudiantes, al personal y a la comunidad la consistencia y la continuación del trabajo hacia nuestra misión y visión actuales. Estamos convencidos de que la Srta. Koger continuará destacándose en este puesto”.
La Srta. Koger tiene más de veintiún años de experiencia educativa, diez de los cuales han sido en las Escuelas Públicas de Denver y en la región del extremo noreste. Inició su carrera como maestra de primaria. Con el tiempo, enseñó lengua y literatura, estudios sociales y estudios cívicos de secundaria y fue líder de MCT como decana de Instrucción, desde 2018 hasta el pasado año escolar. La Srta. Koger inició su carrera administrativa como decana de Asuntos Académicos a nivel de preparatoria y fue pasante del programa Ritchie. Como líder escolar, la Srta. Koger entiende lo importante que es proveer a los estudiantes un acceso equitativo a oportunidades de aprendizaje exigentes, personalizadas y divertidas, y la necesidad de garantizar que los maestros satisfagan las necesidades académicas, sociales y emocionales de todos los estudiantes.
La Srta. Koger se graduó de Chicago State University con una licenciatura en Justicia Correctiva y Penal y una maestría en Educación, y obtuvo sus credenciales de dirección necesarias de University of Denver.
Estamos muy agradecidos con ustedes y expresamos nuestra más sincera gratitud al Comité Escolar de Colaboración (CSC) por su ardua labor y por ser parte integral de este proceso. El CSC ha servido muy bien a la comunidad escolar y apreciamos mucho su firme compromiso para con el éxito continuo de MCT. ¡Gracias por su participación!
